We know a lot of #ChesterleStreet businesses are on Instagram - which is fantastic! - but one newish feature that isn't so well known yet is the ability to "invite collaborators".

Basically, if you're a local business, you can create your Instagram post or reel so that it appears on our feed as well as on yours - helping more people see what you do!

Where you would usually tag us in your post or reel, select "invite collaborator" instead, and find "shopchesterlest" with the pink icon. We will then be asked whether to approve the collaboration - but assuming you're a Chester-le-Street business that we'd be happy to promote via our channels then we'll usually say yes! 😄

We were pleased to meet Mavis and Melissa at Miss Molly yesterday, a new independent ladies' clothing shop that opened a fortnight ago at 132 Front Street.

Filling the space that used to be the RSPCA charity shop, Mavis and her family have rallied around to transform the premises into a warm and welcoming boutique. Ladies of all shapes and ages can find stylish fashions to suit them, with Mavis on hand to share her advice and styling tips.

With customers already visiting from as far afield as Washington and Newcastle, it seems that Mavis is on to a winning formula! It's always lovely to see a new shop opening, and we wish Miss Molly well 💜

It was really lovely to meet Tim and Liam today, who have recently taken over the long-established Groomers, in Church Chare, and are transforming it into their second @mydogbarber branch!

You can look forward to a fully refurbished dog grooming salon next year, but in the meantime the premises have already had a welcome spruce-up, while continuing to offer the great service - and the same friendly team! - that you have got to know over the years.
